Abstract
Incidence of acute myocardial cases in USA tallies around 1 million cases per year. The diagnosis involves : clinical gestalt, ECG with acute dynamic changes and elevation of cardiac biomarkers. Gold standard for diagnosis and management is Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI). Traditional STEMI criteria will miss ~40% of PCI proven occlusion MI. Aslanger pattern is an ECG finding with strong evidence for coronary occlusion requiring emergent cardiac catherization.
